14. Wash
\nclothes only when you have a full load. Pre-rinse clothes
\nonly when absolutely necessary. Set the water control level
\nappropriately, Permanent press cycles may use an extra 10-20

15. Buy
\na “suds-saver” washing machine when you replace your present
\nmachine. <\/font><\/p>\n

16. Add
\nyour food waste to the compost or trash instead of putting
\nit down the garbage disposal. Disposals not only use a great
\ndeal of water, they also can add grease and solids to your
\nalready hard-working sewage and septic systems. Grease and
\nsolids are particularly hard on septic systems where they
\ncan plug soil pores in the drainfield causing system failure
\nwhich may lead to water pollution.<\/font><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
